These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the CineScout website at https://cinescout.pro (the "Website") and the CineScout iOS application (the "App"), together with any related services, features and content we provide (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is designed primarily for filmmakers and production teams, but is available to anyone who needs location scouting tools.

For purchases made through the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's applicable terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

These Terms are effective as of 13 May 2026. Our personal data practices are described in our privacy policy available at https://cinescout.pro/privacy (the "Privacy Policy"), which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

We may provide translations of these Terms. If there is any conflict between the Greek or English version and a translation, the version we indicate as primary on the Website will prevail.

2. What CineScout does (service description and key features)

2.1 Service description

CineScout is an AI-powered location-scouting platform available on web and iOS. It allows users to:

  • Discover potential filming locations using an "AI Scout" that analyzes and scores places based on various criteria.
  • Save, organize, and manage locations, including attaching photos and other information, across different projects.
  • View, explore, and optionally share locations with the community, including public locations contributed by other users.
  • Use additional tools such as light information, map views, and team collaboration features.

2.2 AI features

The Service uses AI-based tools and models (including third-party AI providers) to generate scores, suggestions, or analyses regarding locations. AI outputs are probabilistic and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You remain solely responsible for verifying the suitability, permissions, and safety of any location.

2.3 No production, permitting or legal service

The Service is a tool for discovery and organization only. We do not:

  • Guarantee access rights or filming permissions for any location.
  • Provide legal, permitting, or safety advice.
  • Verify ownership, licensing, or permissions for user-submitted content or locations.

You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, consents, and insurance and for complying with applicable laws and regulations for any production.

3. Eligibility, accounts, and organizations/teams

3.1 Eligibility and Users

3.1.1 Minimum age

The Service is intended primarily for professional users, but is open to general users. To use the Service, you must be at least the age at which you can legally enter into a binding contract under the laws applicable to you. The App may be rated 4+ in the Apple App Store, but if you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You must not use the Service if:

  • You are prohibited from doing so under applicable law; or
  • We have previously terminated your account for violation of these Terms.

3.1.2 Business use

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity (an "Organization"), then:

  • "You" includes both you individually and the Organization; and
  • You represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of the Organization.

3.2 Registration and Account Security

3.2.1 Account creation

To access most features, you must register for an account by providing accurate and complete information. You agree to keep your information up-to-date.

3.2.2 Credentials and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must:

  • Use strong, unique passwords.
  • Notify us promptly at support@vedelin.com if you suspect any unauthorized access or use.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

3.3 Organization Accounts and Roles

We may offer features that allow Organizations to create team or organization accounts with multiple user roles (for example, admins, members, viewers).

  • Organization admins may be able to add or remove users, manage permissions, and access certain data associated with the Organization's use of the Service.
  • If your account is created by or managed for an Organization, that Organization may control or own certain content and settings associated with your use of the Service in a work context.
  • It is your responsibility to understand your Organization's policies and any agreements between you and your Organization.

3.4 Account Deactivation and Closure

3.4.1 Your right to close your account

You may request closure of your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@vedelin.com. Account closure may result in loss of access to any content, projects, or locations associated with your account.

3.4.2 Effect of closure

Upon account closure:

  • Your ability to log in and use the Service will cease.
  • We may retain certain data as required or permitted by law, for legitimate business purposes (such as security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance), and as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Public content contributed by you (for example, locations shared publicly) may remain visible to others in anonymized or pseudonymized form, to the extent permitted by law and consistent with our Privacy Policy.

4. Plans, subscriptions, billing, and refunds

4.1 Plans

4.1.1 Free and paid plans

We currently offer:

  • A free plan that requires registration but does not require payment.
  • One or more paid subscription plans that provide additional features or usage limits.

Details of current plans, features, and limits are described on the Website or in the App. We may introduce new plans or change existing plans as described in Section 4.4.

4.2 iOS Billing

4.2.1 In-app purchases and auto-renewals

If you purchase a subscription through the iOS App:

  • Billing is handled by Apple (through your Apple ID) and may be managed technically via RevenueCat.
  • Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (e.g., monthly or annually) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings on your device.

4.2.2 Apple's terms and refunds

Purchases made through Apple are subject to Apple's terms and conditions, including their refund policies. We do not directly manage or control charging and refunds for in-app purchases. For billing issues or refunds for purchases made via the App Store, you must contact Apple.

4.3 Web Billing

4.3.1 Web purchases

If you purchase a subscription through the Website:

  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, currently Stripe.
  • You authorize Vedelin and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fees and any applicable taxes.
  • Subscriptions purchased via the Website will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

4.3.2 Managing and cancelling web subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your web subscription through your account settings or any dedicated billing portal we provide. If you cancel, you will retain access to the paid features until the end of your current billing period, and then your subscription will not renew.

4.4 Price and Plan Changes

We may change our subscription prices, the features included in each plan, or introduce new plans. For active web subscriptions:

  • We will provide you with prior notice of any material price increase or significant change to your plan via email or in-product notice.
  • The new price or plan terms will apply at the start of your next billing period unless you cancel before that date.

For App Store subscriptions, price and plan changes will be subject to Apple's policies and mechanisms.

4.5 EU Consumer Rights

If you are an EU consumer and you purchase a subscription through the Website:

  • You may have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your first web subscription purchase, under applicable EU consumer protection law, unless you have expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged that you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed.
  • We will provide clear information about this right and how to exercise it at the time of purchase, in accordance with applicable law.
  • Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.

4.6 Pre-Contract Information for EU Consumers (Web Purchases)

Before completing a paid subscription on the Website, we will provide you with key information required by EU consumer law, including:

  • The main characteristics of the Service.
  • The identity and contact details of Vedelin G.P.
  • The total price including taxes, or how it is calculated.
  • The duration of the subscription, conditions for termination, and auto-renewal terms.
  • Information on your withdrawal rights, if applicable.

By completing a purchase on the Website, you confirm that you have received this pre-contract information.

By uploading or submitting User Content to the Service, you grant to Vedelin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to:

  • Host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, modify (for technical or formatting purposes), and distribute your User Content as necessary to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service.
  • For content you choose to mark or share as public or otherwise made available to the community:
    • Display, promote, and make that content available to other users within the Service.
    • Use such public content (including screenshots and featured locations) for marketing, promotional, and demonstrative purposes in connection with the Service and Vedelin's business, including on our websites and social media channels, to the extent permitted by law and our Privacy Policy.

You may change the visibility of some content (for example, from public to private) where such settings are available. Such changes will not affect any uses of your User Content that have already occurred in accordance with this license.

5.4 Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that:

  • You have all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to upload, use, and share the User Content through the Service and to grant the licenses in these Terms.
  • Your User Content does not infringe or violate any third-party rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or personality rights), or any law or regulation.
  • You obtain any required permissions from property owners, individuals appearing in photos (e.g., models, bystanders), and any other rightsholders before uploading or sharing content.

5.5 No obligation to store

We are not obligated to store your User Content and may delete or anonymize it in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your own content where needed.

6.3 Reporting and flagging

We provide in-app and/or in-site reporting tools to allow users to report content they believe is illegal, infringing, or violates these Terms. You may also contact support@vedelin.com with detailed information about the content, the reasons for your report, and any supporting evidence.

6.4 Moderation and enforcement

We may, at our discretion and where permitted by law:

  • Remove or restrict access to any User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms.
  • Cooperate with law-enforcement or other competent authorities when legally required.

Nothing in this section obligates us to monitor all content or to actively seek facts or circumstances indicating illegal activity.

7. AI features and accuracy/safety notice

These terms are required by Apple Inc. ("Apple") and supplement (and, where stricter, prevail over) the rest of these Terms with respect to your use of the Licensed Application. To the extent any other provision of these Terms conflicts with this Section 11, this Section 11 controls solely with respect to the Licensed Application.

11.1 Acknowledgement

You and Vedelin acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Vedelin only, and not with Apple, and that Vedelin, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and the content thereof. These Terms do not provide for any usage rules for the Licensed Application that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions in effect as of the date you accept these Terms (which you acknowledge you have had the opportunity to review).

11.2 Scope of license

The license granted to you for the Licensed Application is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Licensed Application may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you (the purchaser) via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Requests for support should be sent to support@vedelin.com.

11.4 Warranty

Vedelin is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed in these Terms. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Vedelin's sole responsibility.

11.5 Product and consumer claims

You and Vedelin acknowledge that Vedelin, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the Licensed Application's use of any HealthKit, HomeKit or similar frameworks (where applicable). These Terms do not limit Vedelin's liability to you beyond what is permitted by applicable law.

11.6 Intellectual property claims

You and Vedelin acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Vedelin, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

11.9 Third-party terms of agreement

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Licensed Application. For example, if the Licensed Application uses cellular data, mapping, social-sharing, or other third-party services, you must not be in violation of your wireless data service agreement or any other applicable third-party agreements when using those features.

11.10 Apple as third-party beneficiary

You and Vedelin acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the Licensed Application, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

11.11 Device and OS requirements

You must use the Licensed Application on compatible iOS devices and operating-system versions as specified in the App Store listing. We are not responsible if the Licensed Application does not function properly on unsupported, jailbroken, or modified devices.

12. Feedback, beta, and experimental features

12.2 Beta and experimental features

We may offer certain features or services as beta, experimental, or pre-release. These may be subject to additional terms, may be less stable, and may be discontinued at any time. You use such features at your own risk.

14.1 Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not warrant or guarantee any particular results from the use of AI features or scoring, or from any suggested or user-contributed locations.

14.2 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Vedelin and its partners, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred euros (EUR100).
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

14.3 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vedelin and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Service;
  • Your User Content; or
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

15. Changes to the Service and these Terms

15.1 Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, for example to improve functionality, address security issues, or comply with legal requirements.

15.2 Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the Service and will indicate the new effective date.

If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request closure of your account.

16. Governing law, venue, and dispute resolution

16.1 Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that provide you with additional rights, any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Serres, Greece.

19. Assignment and other general terms

19.1 Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, to another entity (for example, in connection with a merger or acquisition), provided that this does not reduce your rights under these Terms. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

19.2 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vedelin regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

19.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

19.4 No waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
